Spider-Man swings by comic shop opening in Pinchbeck

Your friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man stopped by comic shop Strange Apparitions on Saturday, for its packed grand opening.

The shop, at Spalding Lifestyle Centre in Pinchbeck, was bustling with comic and film fans on Saturday, who finally have a place to meet their needs locally. New and vintage mainstream and indie comics and graphic novels are stocked, alongside manga and all manner of collectables.

“It’s been absolutely brilliant, I was really touched,” owner Alex Hunt said of the positive reception.

“Everyone who’s come has said they’re so happy that this is here now.”

The Spalding Lifestyle Centre, located near the Johnson Hospital, is also home to another collectors’ favourite, Uptown Vinyl Records.

Strange Apparitions, named after an iconic Batman series, is open Tuesday to Sunday.
