Spate of incidents in Holbeach

Police were seen searching a Holbeach Park on Sunday night (September 6) after a spate of incidents within hours.

Three incidents were reported in the town within hours.

Incident 440 refers to the theft of beer and an assault at the Co-Op in Fleet Street.

Police say they now believe the man responsible had previously stolen beer from the same store at 4pm earlier that day, but returned at 9.30pm to steal more beer and assaulted a member of staff in the police.

For the incident, police said they are searching for a slim man in his late 30s early 40s who is 5ft9/10, with short brown hair and an orange/red backpack.

Another assault was recorded at 10.45pm following a short altercation with a man at the ATM on West End.

The description of the offender is a white man, mid 20s, with a bald head wearing a grey tracksuit and a red rucksack.

The crime number for this offence is 454.

At 11.20pm police were then reported to an incident of a man using threatening behaviour to a resident on East Elloe Avenue.

The offender is described as slim, shaven hair, wearing grey tracksuit bottoms, a grey hooded jumper, a red rucksack with grey trainers.

The crime number is incident 466.

Police patrols were seen in Carter’s Park in Holbeach at 11.30pm looking for a man with torches.

Police investigations for all of the incidents are ongoing and they’re urging anyone with information on the incidents.
