A Spalding family are hoping you can hold a funeral, party or play in their home after having already hosted weddings.
Oliver and Dorota Sneath bought the former Spalding Magistrates’ Court known as The Sessions House in Sheep Market in 2016.
The couple, who have two young children, were granted permission to hold weddings in the Grade II listed building in 2018.
After the success of that they’re now seeking permission for a full leisure licence which will allow them to open the former court rooms for parties, civil funerals, performance events, private dining corporate and private hires.
Oliver said: “We’re looking to expand our offer in response to enquiries we’ve had over the last year.
“It would be great for The Sessions House to be used by more of the local community and businesses and this application will enable it.”
The family has already embraced the weddings that have been held in the venue.
“The weddings are going great and it’s so special to us that we can help couples achieve their perfect day.
“We hope the weddings will continue to go from strength to strength over the coming years.
“It’s still very much our family house, and we’re looking forward to our two children Morgan (2) and Edward (six months) growing up in such an exciting home.”
South Holland District Council is due to rule on the planning application by March 19.
