Spalding United to field a reserve side next season

V SPORT

Spalding United have confirmed that they are to run a reserve team this coming season.

The all-new Spalding United Reserves will be managed by Kev Nottingham (last season’s under-18 supremo), with assistance from Andy Coaten.

They will play in Division Two of the Chromasports and Trophies Peterborough and District League.

It’s the first time in more than a decade that the Tulips will have a second string, with their first game likely to be a friendly against Spalding Town at the Sir Halley Stewart Field on July 16.

Nottingham’s appointment creates a managerial vacancy at the club and invitations are open for the position of Under-18 boss.

Anyone interested is asked to contact secretary Audrey Fletcher in the first instance via e-mail at [email protected].
