Spalding Town slip into bottom five after loss

Spalding Town’s run without a Lincs ECB Premier League win continued on Saturday as Skegness handed them a six-wicket home reverse.

Batting first, Town managed just 160 at Spalding Grammar School – before Skegness, who were looking for their first win of the season at the seventh attempt, reached 161-4 thanks to a cool 85 from Peter Houghton.

Having been in the top three earlier in the campaign, Spalding now find themselves in the bottom five.
