The deadline for ideas to be submitted to central government from the Spalding Town Board has been extended.
It was formed after the previous government’s pledge to spend £20m over 10 years on towns it deemed ‘left behind’ like Spalding.
Members decided to work through the election period so it could meet the previously set deadline of August 1 for the plan of what it looked to spend the money on after a public consultation.
However that deadline has now been pushed back and a new one not yet set.
Robin Hancox, chair, of the Spalding Town Board said: “The board is really grateful to everyone who has taken the time to share their views with us in our consultation.
“We heard from 507 people through our online and paper surveys, and we have found out thoughts, ideas, and views in other ways too, such as at events.
“Now, with the feedback and with the data pack we have been provided with by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (formerly the Department for Levelling Up, Housing, and Communities) we are working hard to develop a vision and three-year investment plan that will meet the needs of Spalding and deliver for our town. We will update the public on this in due course.
“The August 1 deadline has now been moved and we are waiting for the new deadline to be confirmed. The board is continuing to progress the development of the vision and plan for Spalding in readiness of the new deadline.”
