Spalding Tennis Club’s B team picked up an impressive 7-2 win over Bourne in Division Two of the Peterborough and District League last week.
The winning team was Carl Newell, Jack Howard, Dave Baldwin, Glenn Perkins, Joe Gill and Mike Sitch.
In Division Three, the Spalding C team of Michael and Mathew Pearl, Andy Rix, Ian Argent, Steve knight and Julian Warrick won 6-3 against Deeping D.
Also in Division Three, Spalding D roared to a 9-0 victory over David Lloyd Of Peterborough.
The all-conquering team was made up of Ben and Martin Brittain, John Lees, Ken Booth, Mike Moriaty and George Taylor.
Meanwhile in the Lincolnshire Team Tennis League, Spalding’s men lost 10-2 away at Boston C.
Carl Newell, Mike Sitch, Ian Argent and David Dorey were on duty for this side.
In the Peterborough and Huntington Mixed League, Spalding lost 6-2 at home to St Neots B with Jill Warrick, Phillipa Peach, Jack Howard and Ian Argent the players used.
There was also a defeat for Spalding in the Ladies’ Senior Lincolnshire League.
They lost 8-0 to Woodhall Spa and were represented by Natasha Tooley, Amanda Halifax, Mary Clay and Gill Williams.
