Spalding swimming star Hannam shines for The University of Arkansas

Spalding swimming sensation Chloe Hannam starred as The Razorbacks of The University of Arkansas defeated the Huskers of University of Nebraska 174-125 in their first dual meet of the season at Nebraska’s Devaney Natatorium.

Former South Lincs Competitive Swimming Club ace Hannam, who is a sophomore at The University of Arkansas, grabbed two wins and a second place.

The teenage talent took her first win in the 200-yard freestyle (1.52.95mins) and also won the 400-yard IM (4.21.68mins), before falling just short in the 200-yard backstroke in a time of 2.00.68mins to place second behind team-mate Anna Mayfield (2.00.55mins).

Her performance in the 400-yard IM was particularly impressive, as she finished 11 seconds clear of her nearest rival.
