Spalding store’s hamper appeal

Staff at Spalding Travel are hoping you can pack for other people as they’re looking to provide Christmas Hampers for those most in need.

Its parent company Holiday With Us Group are working with charities Agape and Salvation Army to provide extra festive cheer to disadvantaged families.

The hampers will be packed with items such as Christmas goodies, food, toys and toiletries.

You can drop items off at Spalding Travel’s Market Place store.

Food items must be in date, packed, dried, jarred or tinned, and fresh food will not be accepted.

Toiletries and toys must be new and not used or opened.

A spokesman for Spalding Travel said: “Many in our community rely on the food bank on a weekly basis for essential food items.

“In order to provide additional support, we provide Christmas hampers to our local charities who support those in the community who are in desperate need at Christmas time.”
