Spalding singer and Twitch star’s big ambition

A Spalding woman has released her debut single with an eye on chart domination and is building up her profile on the livestreamer network, Twitch.

Tune into 18-year-old Kyra Jinx’s Twitch channel online most days between lunchtime and around 10pm, and you’ll find her broadcasting from her bedroom, either just chatting to her followers or playing the online video game, League of Legends.

Over on her YouTube channel, you can find her debut music video for Side Ho.

“As much as I adore gaming and Twitch, I wouldn’t let it get in the way of my music career,” Kyra said, adding that she still finds plenty of time to write new music.

That music career has begun with her debut single, which is also on all major streaming services.

Side Ho was produced by the team at South East London’s Hot Money Studios and draws on Kyra’s influences from grime artists such as Stormzy, Jhus and NF. Kyra said NF’s inspirational rap track When I Grow Up sums up her attitude to music.

Other artists that have influenced Kyra range from Arctic Monkeys and Bon Jovi through to Beyonce and OutKast. As such, a range of styles are going to follow as Kyra releases more music.

Until the next track drops, Kyra can be found on Twitch.

“It’s never the same, each day is different in a way, connecting with different people, laughing, raging at your screen because you lost a game.

“Just being able to turn on a camera and experience so much love and appreciation is unreal.”
