A Spalding man has been cleared of all the charges against him after prosecutors decided not to pursue a retrial.
Mohamed Alam, 40, of St Thomas Road, Spalding, was cleared by a jury of 11 sexual charges after a trial at Lincoln Crown Court last week.
They were eight allegations of sexual assault, two counts of causing a female person to engage in sexual activity without consent and one offence of exposure.
The jury failed to reach a verdict on six further charges of sexual assault after deliberating for more than seven hours and the Crown Prosecution Service were given time to decide if they wished to pursue a retrial.
But a hearing at Lincoln Crown Court was told no evidence would be offered against Mr Alam on the outstanding six charges.
David Eager, prosecuting, told the hearing: “I have been authorised to offer no evidence on all the charges on which the jury could not agree.”
The trial judge, Recorder Simon King, formally entered not guilty verdicts on the six outstanding charges and discharged Mr Alam from facing any further proceedings.
Recorder King told the court: “In the circumstances that arose in this case that is a very sensible decision”.
Mr Alam had denied sexual assaults against four women. He denied exposing himself or touching any of the women in a sexual way, and insisted false complaints had been brought against him.
All the offences were alleged to have occurred between October 2020 and September 2022.
