A Spalding primary school has launched a breakfast club for its youngest students.
Monkshouse Primary School already has a breakfast drop-in session established for Key Stage 2 pupils and has now extended the provision.

Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 youngsters can enjoy cereals, toast and drinks during the 8am-8.45am session. Cost is £2 per day and children can be booked in for any number of days per week.

Nursery teacher Nicky Clarke said the school was keen to help parents and guardians who were finding it a struggle to accompany children to school and then get to work on time themselves.

She said: “There will also be activities and resources for pupils to use.
“The breakfast club started this term and is going well.
“This is a childcare option which we hope will particularly appeal to working parents.”
