Spalding Power Station cordoned off during gas leak

V NEWS

Spalding Power Station was cordoned off last night after a “very small gas leak” was discovered.

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue crews were on site at West Marsh Road dealing with the leak at about 6.30pm.

As a safety precaution a 200 metre cordon was put in place, meaning West Marsh Road was closed, along with a stretch of the A16 between the West Marsh Road and the A151 McDonald’s roundabouts.

Lincolnshire Police say a small leak in a pipe was found and repaired.

Roads were re-opened at about 7.45pm.
