Spalding man in court charged with sexual offences involving children

A Spalding man is due to appear in court on a host of charges regarding sexual offences involving children.

Marvin Scampion, 47, of Edward Road in Spalding was due at Boston Magistrates Court as The Voice went to press on Wednesday, December 20.
The charges include separate offences against a boy under the age of 13 between April 29 2008 and December 18 2011.
They include a count of rape, two of sexual assault and one of inciting a boy to look at an image of a person engaging in sexual activity.
He’s also charged with engaging a boy under 13 to engage in a non penetrative sexual activity between December 19, 2011 and April 28, 2013.
There’s two counts of assaulting a girl under 13 by touching and two of engaging in sexual activity while knowing a child was present between January 1, 2015 and July 14, 2016.
A further charge is of causing assault, ill treatment, negfect or abandonment of a child or causing a young person to cause unnecessary suffering.
All of the offences were said to have been committed in Spalding.
