Spalding hotel to host new swimming classes

New swimming classes are coming to Spalding.

Billie’s Fins Swim School will offer classes at Woodhouse Lodge hotel in Spalding from February.

Billie Whyatt, who runs the swimming school for more than 350 pupils around Peterborough said she is looking forward to starting in Spalding.

“Woodhouse Lodge is a beautiful venue, it’s private, clean and quaint. There is a restaurant where families can enjoy a coffee or food during or after the lessons,” she said.

There will be a number of classes available. Billie said: “We run lessons for children aged six months and up. We offer group and private lessons. Our group lessons are 30 minutes long, have a maximum of seven children and our teachers teach in the water and have an assistant.”

Billie said having smaller groups is beneficial for learning.

“We feel that having low group numbers and teaching in the water really helps children confidence flourish. We make sure our lessons are filled with fun and games whilst ensuring children learn all of the four swimming strokes with a high standard of technique.”
