Spalding Fulney WI members have a ball in panto

A group of Spalding Fulney Women’s Institute members took to the stage to entertain members of other WIs, their family and friends.

They performed Cinderella to two sell-out performances at Bromley Memorial Hall in Pode Hall.
The audience particularly enjoyed the antics of the Ugly Sisters, the missing cat, as well as numerous WI jokes.

The cast and stage crew are all members of Spalding Fulney WI who had little or no previous experience of panto.
They wrote the script as well as making the scenery, costumes and props.
It was directed by Ann Holness.

Cast: Cinderella – Sally Penn; Prince Charming – Ann Holness; Fairy Godmother/Baron Hardup – Chrissy Neary-Phillips; Ugly Sisters – Bernadette Laidler and Rosemary Knight; Buttons – Maureen Scantlebury; Dandini (valet) – Gladys Breakspear; Ballroom Announcer – Mo Williams.
