Spalding firm creating 100 jobs

A firm that delivers recipe boxes to homes is looking to recruit 100 people in Spalding.

Gousto, which has a warehouse in Marsh Road, has announced its creating the roles immediately and it’s part of the 700 staff it intends to hire by 2020.

Timo Boldt, CEO and Founder of Gousto says; “We know how worrying the coronavirus outbreak is for our staff, customers and the UK as a whole. Our top priority is to continue supporting households in need of a reliable home-cooked meal, safely and in accordance with NHS, and World Health Organisation guidelines.

We are expecting to deliver four million meals to 380,000 UK households over the next four weeks, and to do this to our usual high standards, we need to hire more incredibly talented people to join our team.”

A spokesman for the company added: “In line with its commitment to ensure the nation is fed during such times of uncertainty, the recipe box is working closely with the government and grocery sector to support the fair and safe distribution of food, while supporting charity organisations such as The Trussell Trust, Shelter and City Harvest.”
