Spalding fall 2-0 to Bees

Spalding United went down 2-0 away to Harborough Town on Tuesday night.
The match saw two of last season’s Northern Premier League Midlands Division title rivals go head to head, with Harborough coming out on top, thanks to goals from Joshua Walsh (67) and Tendai Daire (79).
Spalding had an early chance after Joseph Nyahwema drilled in a ball which Tyler Winters got a foot to, but Elliot Taylor saved well with his feet.
Just minutes later there was a great 1-2 between former Spalding United player Riley O’Sullivan and Luis Rose but O’Sullivan’s shot was well saved by Tony Breeden.
The teams went in 0-0 at half-time but the scoreline wasn’t to hold.
In the 67 minute, Walsh picked up the ball from 35 yards, beat a player and drilled a low shot in the corner from the edge of the box to take the lead.
The second goal came from a pass from Ben Starkey who put Daire through to give the Bees the win.
