Spalding cadets earn band badges – even though squadron has no band!

Four cadets from 1406 Squadron Air Training Corps (ATC) Spalding have been awarded band badges – despite the squadron not actually having a band!

As a result of their own study, hard work and musical interest, their talent was recognised by Wg Cdr Gil Singleton, principal director of music for headquarters air cadets.
The wing commander was so impressed that he has asked Cdt Sgt Heather Stacey if she would like to be a solo act as part of the musical arrangements he is working on for the Air Cadet 75th Anniversary event to be held at RAF Cranwell next August.
