South Lincs Competitive Swimming Club’s fantastic four do the club proud at Luton

South Lincs Competitive Swimming Club were left brimming with pride after four of their members were chosen to represent Lincolnshire in the Junior Inter-Counties Competition.

Ellisha Cookson, Aurinija Maliauskaite, Hannah Willis and Ellie O’Brien were part of the team that competed against teams from Essex, Hertfordshire, Leicestershire, Suffolk, Warwickshire and Bedfordshire at the Inspire Swimming Complex in Luton.

The event was extremely competitive, with the best of each county in their respective age groups represented. But all of the South Lincs girls swam really well with some personal best (PB) times clocked along the way.

South Lincs Head Coach Callum Lawson said: “With Ellisha, Aurinija and Ellie receiving their county colours for the first time, the club is extremely proud to have had a great representation at this year’s competition.

“It was a good achievement for the club to have four age group swimmers in the county squad this year, it proves the programme is working and the aim is to have more swimmers in the next representative squad.”

South Lincs are based at Spalding’s Castle Sports Complex pool and boast many talented members from across South Holland and beyond.
