South Holland stock car quartet eyeing up Bumper Trophy glory in King’s Lynn

There has been a massive run of big oval events at the Adrian Flux Arena in King’s Lynn over the past couple of months.

A big crowd is expected this Saturday (5pm) when another major event takes place – in the shape of the Unlimited Banger World of Shale.

There will also be racing coming from the 2L Stock Cars, with the coveted Bumper Trophy up for grabs.

Most South Holland interest will centre upon the 2L Stock Cars and the fight for the Bumper Trophy, where four local drivers will be looking to lift the unique trophy.

This will be the 12th running of this unique trophy – and out of the four, only Spalding’s Tom Yould has his name on the trophy having taken won the ultra competitive race back in 2015.

Long Sutton’s Simon Venni, Holbeach’s Wes Starmer and Spalding’s Robert Heanes will all be looking to win the race for the first time and all will be in for a shout of winning the title having shown good form around King’s Lynn in recent months.

The 2L Stock Cars will also be contesting the annual White and Yellow grade final.

Venni will be a strong contender to take this race, having done very well from the yellows earlier in the season before moving back to the red grade.
