Officers in South Holland gave 360 motorists drink-driving breath tests over the Christmas period, Lincolnshire Police said.
The stops were made as part of the force’s Operation BlackWater through December.
Inspector Gareth Boxall said: “South Holland officers conducted 360 breath tests throughout that period and made 20 arrests.
“Those caught were from a mixture of us responding to reports from members of the public, routine stop checks but mainly from extra stop checks of vehicles as part of this campaign.”
Insp Boxall was pleased with result of the campaign.
“It’s great to see that 340 people passed those breath tests and I thank them for their cooperation in this campaign.
“The hard work of South Holland Officers has really made sure that drink driving has been properly targeted over the Christmas period and without doubt those officers have contributed significantly to reducing drink driving in South Holland.
“Our officers have also been supported on occasion by traffic officers from the East Midlands Operations Support Service to whom I’m also grateful.”
