A man of the match display from goalkeeper Jack Sellars saw Holbeach United become the first team to deny Eastern Counties League newcomers Netherton United a goal last Wednesday.
The prolific former Peterborough League club were held to a 0-0 draw but the Tigers failed to build on that solid show with a 4-1 defeat at home to Norwich United.
The visitors went ahead from the penalty spot after 19 minutes but a spot kick for Holbeach saw Kelvin Ibeneme level 11 minutes later.
It was 2-1 just before half-time when a long throw was headed down and not cleared.
The Planters added a third early in the second half and completed the scoreline in the last minute.
The Tigers included a new signing, 20-year-old centre back Sam Cornbill, a fast and aggressive player, as well as seeing the return of winger Syed Ahamed after a three-match absence due to injury.
