Snowdrop walks help churches step into spring

Two churches are hosting open days to see the snowdrops in bloom.

Snowdrops at Whaplode St Mary’s Church will take place on February 10, 11, 17, 18, 24 and 25.
A spokesman said: “All are welcome to wander and experience the amazing display of snowdrops and aconites in their natural setting in a secluded area of the churchyard.
“Step inside the church for warmth and refreshments of homemade soup with rolls, cakes, pastries, tea and coffee from 10am to 3pm.”

St Bartholomew’s Church in West Pinchbeck is also hosting a Snowdrop Weekend, this weekend (February 10 and 11) where the church yard will be open from 1pm to 4pm each day.
The fundraiser for the church will also see tea and cake available.
