Smashing showing from Houghton is the main highlight

The Bank Holiday weekend saw another crash-tastic affair at the Adrian Flux Arena.

Saturday night saw a non-stop Stock Car session, before Bank Holiday Monday featured Stock Cars, Micro Bangers and Big Van Bangers.

Sadly, it was a weekend to forget for the locals – who across both days seemed to struggle to find form.

Spalding’s Nick Houghton, in his Big Van Banger, had the best result a fifth place and picked up a number of merit and entertainer awards, to his credit.

There was fantastic action across the weekend, but it was the Big Van Bangers on the Monday who were the stars of the show with the Bank Holiday crowd loving the action provided by them.

The action continues this weekend, with the all-action, hard-hitting 2 Litre Saloon Stock Cars racing in their European event.

If you’ve not seen these before, they are brutal, fence-clattering entertainment – and with a championship up for grabs too, you won’t know where to look.

Banger completes the line-up on the Saturday night with an ‘old school’ feel; a night dedicated to cars that were the norm 20 years ago.

A good number of cars also booked in for what will be a great night of action.

Sunday sees the 2 Litre Saloon Stock cars return for their European Championship revenge day – and you can bet that any battles formed on Saturday will be carried into to Sunday.

Also on the line will be 2 Litre National Bangers, who race in their World Final event.
