Moulton Harrox B ace Ash Allen starred as he walked away with three trophies at the Hereward Sports Pinchbeck and District Darts League’s finals night.
On a night of high quality darts at Spalding Services Club, Allen won the league pairs with partner Dan Vaughan, before going on to win the singles and the coveted Mark Tansley Trophy.
The night started with the Ward Trophy, with Division C team Riverside A upsetting Division B side Draymans Arm’s A 4-3. A last game win by Carl Kirk secured the trophy.
The League Knockout Cup final was also close, with Lincoln Arms edging out Moulton Harrox B 4-3.
Andy Bingham beat Jason Hammond 2-1 in the last game to secure it, in a final that saw 180s from Dan Vaughan, John Charlton and Hammond.
The Ladies’ Cup final was an all-Fisherman’s Arms clash, with Allison Green beating team-mate Chris McCutcheon 2-0 to land the trophy.
In the Captain’s Cup, Draymans Arms A skipper Tony Clark beat Dan Hardy – from Kirton Leisure Centre – in straight legs.
Next up, Spalding Conti Club steward Dick Morgan came away as Landlords/Landladies Cup champion by beating Tony Branch, the Drayman’s Arms landlord, in straight legs.
A crisp 118 checkout by Morgan in the second leg secured him the trophy.
The Mixed Pairs Final was locked out by players from Division A champions Riverside B.
In the end, Chris Fidler and Claire Brookin beat Steve Stancer and Bev Graves in straight legs in a high scoring game.
As mentioned above, the League Pairs final went the way of Moulton Harrox B pair Allen and Vaughan.
They pipped Riverside B duo Gary Mace and Steve Stancer 2-1 in a very close clash.
The Singles final was played over five legs, with England ladies’ international Brookin (Riverside B) up against Allen.
It went the distance, with Allen just getting over the line in the final leg.
The duo managed 19 ton-plus scores between them, with Allen hitting the maximum twice.
As ever, the Mark Tansley Memorial Trophy closed out the night.
This year it was Riverside B’s Mace (Winter League singles champion) against newly-crowned Summer League winner Allen.
Another very high scoring match ensued, as it went the full five legs.
However, Allen again hit the maximum and took the final leg to capture the trophy in what was a fitting end to a very enjoyable evening.
The league thank Spalding’s “Mr Darts” Ian Tilley for acting as MC on the night.
