Long Sutton 1st cruised to a comprehensive six-wicket success over Skegness 2nd in the Premier Division on Saturday.

Three wickets apiece from Paul Edgeller (3-33) and Jimmy Wright (3-50), plus solitary strikes from Jake Burton (1-28) and Ian Morris (1-36) helped limit hosts Skeg to 152-9 from their 45 overs after being put into bat.

Sutton raced to 153-4 in their reply, with Edgeller (30), Chris Booth (21), Phil Barnes (21), Matt Bull (32 not out) and Steve Skoulding (19 not out) doing the damage in just 33.4 overs.

It wasn’t such a good day for Moulton Harrox against Grantham, though. Only number ten Henry Lavery (14 not out) managed double figures as they were skittled out for just 66 batting first.

Lavery then snared 2-13 with the ball, but the hosts eased to 67-3 in reply in just 12.1 overs.

In Division One, Long Sutton 2nd were narrowly beaten in a low scoring game against Market Deeping 2nd at Paradise FIeld.

Sutton made just 80 in their innings, with Deeping making 83-7 in reply.

In Division Two, Spalding Town 3rd enjoyed one of their best days of the season.

They made 130-7 against hosts Burgh and District, with Patrick Harrington (31), Ben Edwards (25) and Johnathan Manton (22) top scoring.

Matthew Sharpe then blitzed the Burgh batsmen with 6-14, while Richard Gilbert (2-21), Jamie Juckes (1-19) and Chris Green (1-2) helped him wrap up their innings for 59 to seal a 71-run success.
