Skills help for town retailers

Free skills training for high street businesses and retailers in South Holland is being offered by the district council.

The project is open until March 31 with the first 45 applications receiving one-to-one business support from a team of industry specialists.

Support covers a range of topics from identifying customers to designing window displays and product sourcing.

It has been made possible through a new partnership with Maybe Tech.

A team of support specialists will include Lincolnshire-based retail champion Clare Bailey who is a respected expert in the field.

District councillor Nick Worth, deputy leader, said: “I am delighted we are able to offer this support to retail businesses across the district, many of whom are recovering from the impact of the pandemic.”

The project is funded by the Welcome Back Funding via the regional development fund.
