A 16-year-old boy was on Tuesday remanded into the care of the local authority after being charged with the murder of Spalding man Warren Free.
The boy, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, is the sixth teenager to be charged with the murder of Mr Free (42).
The boy is also accused of perverting the course of justice by disposing of an iron bar alleged to have been used during the attack on Mr Free.
Judge Michael Heath, sitting at Lincoln Crown Court, ordered that the boy should not enter the district of South Holland unless under local authority supervision and that he be placed on an electronically monitored curfew between 9pm and 6am.
The 16-year-old will next appear at the Crown Court in February alongside five others who have already been charged with murder. They include two 15-year-old girls together with three boys aged 14, 15 and 17.
Mr Free was rushed to hospital from his home in Coronation Close, Spalding, on August 28 with a serious head injury following an incident at his home in the early hours. He was allegedly kicked and struck with an iron bar.
He was airlifted to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham but died the following day.
