A South Holland businessman hit the heights of fundraising when he, his brother and a group of friends climbed six peaks in a day.
Rob Bridgewater, of Spalding-based Infinity Properties Group, and his group headed to Scotland to start their challenge last weekend.
The group of six, including Rob’s brother Pete, started at 5am on Friday and managed all three national peaks, Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon before heading to Yorkshire for the second half of their challenge.
The Yorkshire three peaks of Ingleborough, Pen-y-Ghent and Whernside which added 24.5 miles to the 23 miles they had already covered for the challenge.
The other team members of Matt Fensom, James Kemp, Clint Todd and Brett Daniels joined Rob for the climbs.
In total they climbed 4,500 in height and they did it all without a break and finished at 6.15pm on Saturday.
Rob has raised £1,250 which he is donating to three causes, St Barnabas Hospice, Plastic Oceans and Mia, Charlie and Me.
The hospice cared for Rob’s friend Ashley Woolf who died shortly after being diagnosed with cancer.
Mia, Charlie and Me helps Spalding Voice directors Andy and Nikki Clucas whose two children Mia (5) and Charlie (3) have a rare genetic condition which means they need full-time care.
Plastic Oceans UK is fighting to clean the world’s seas of waste plastics.
