Six-hitting Pinchbeck maintain title charge

Pinchbeck United continued their push for Peterborough League Premier Division honours with a 6-0 home win over Leverington Sports on Saturday.

Fabio Ramos’ third goal in two games had given Ian Dunn’s charges a half-time lead before the Knights went on a goal spree in the second period.

Tyler Wright hit a second half hat-trick with Nick Bishop and Brad Murrell also on target as Pinchbeck made light of the absence of top scorer Ollie Maltby.

They travel to face Stamford Lions on Tuesday night four points adrift of table-topping Peterborough Sports who were 1-0 winners over Deeping Rangers Reserves on Saturday.

Moulton Harrox stay in fourth spot after a 4-3 home win over Ketton on a day of celebration for the Broad Lane club.

Harrox’s reserves were presented with the Division One trophy after their game with Warboys which had seen Moulton run out 2-0 winners.

Long Sutton suffered a 3-0 away loss at King’s Cliffe while Tydd were 6-0 away winners at Stamford Lions Reserves in Division Two.
