To mark the 90th anniversary of the Royal British Legion the delightful D-Day Darlings have packed up their troubles in their old kit bag and are marching around the UK performing their smash hit musical show The Songs that Won the War.
The show is set in 1939 at the heart of wartime Britain and celebrates this magical era by taking you on a nostalgic journey which is sure to evoke warm memories for all.
Featuring The D Day Darlings, a vocal harmony trio of the era and Mr John Adams, an actor/director and soldier of war.
The story begins as we hear the declaration of war speech on the wireless and the darlings say goodbye to their life long friend John as he packs up his troubles and goes to fight for his country.
As the story unfolds we see the darlings working hard to keep the spirits of the nation bright with their songs and supporting the homeland.
John returns from the army with the news the darlings have been waiting for, a request for them to perform in “The greatest show on earth” for our forces around the world.
You’ll be singing along to classics such as We’ll Meet Again, White Cliffs of Dover, Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy and many more.
Proudly supported by Dame Vera Lynn and the Royal British Legion with fundraising at each performance for the RBL.
