Sign up for free arts workshop sessions

The next block of workshop sessions in Transported’s arts and health project Taking pART starts on Thursday (April 7) in Spalding library.

Graphics, art and design artist Amber Smith will lead a four-week programme exploring a range of visual arts practices including observational drawing, collage, mixed media and sculpture.

From May 5, socially engaged artist Katie Smith’s activity “You Know More Than You Think” will unleash your own wisdom. Over the course of four weeks people will work as part of a group to share the words and phrases that motivate them to do great things or just get through each day. Sessions will include collage and stitch.

Then, from June 2, Sue Rowland will be leading silk painting sessions for four weeks using local landmarks as inspiration, finishing with a block of four workshops using weaving techniques to create landscape pictures.
All sessions are developed for complete beginners and are free including all materials. No experience is necessary.

Places are limited and booking is essential. Contact Marion Sander on 07887 574138 or email [email protected].
