Show your support for Spalding United young guns to make Hjorring dream a reality

Spalding United Youth under-11 Blues are seeking support from South Holland after securing a lucrative spot in a popular football tournament.

Managed by Richard Smith and Neil Maxwell, the 13 young Tulips players are one of just three teams from England to enter the Dana Cup in Hjorring, Denmark.

The international tournament accepts teams from all over the world, from under-11 all the way up to under-18.

Only three teams per country, per age group are permitted to enter – making this a huge opportunity for Spalding.

The team will be provided with England football kits with the Spalding United badge added.

Now, the Tulips are looking for sponsors to help fund what will be an expensive trip.

The cost of entry is £299 per player (which includes accommodation for the week). But flight costs mean that it will cost each player around £450 to make the trip.

South Holland businesses and people are being offered the chance to sponsor the lads, with the firm (or person) offering the highest donation able to have their logo on the front of the strip.

Anybody interested can contact Spalding’s youth chairman Phil Woolsey via email at [email protected] or by phone on 07753 237563.
