Show your support and help raise money for Save the Children UK as Cowbit face The Stars

Spalding and District Sunday League side Cowbit Athletic are hosting a charity celebrity football match in aid of Save the Children UK in May – and you’ll need to be quick if you want a ticket.

The match will see Cowbit take on a team of celebrities and is being held at Peterborough United’s ABAX Stadium on Saturday, May 19 (kick-off is at 6pm).

All of the celebrities supporting the event are taking part free of charge.

They are: Ricky Miller (Peterborough United player, on loan at Mansfield Town), Danny Butterfield (Southampton FC coach), Julian Joachim (former Leicester City and Aston Villa player), Jack Rutter (England and Team GB Paralympic football captain), Josh Bennett (Harry Potter and Snow White star), Danny Bennett (international model), Sam Gowland (Love Island 2017 contestant), Simon Searles (Love Island 2017 contestant), David Kennedy (Hollyoaks’ Dirk Savage), Callum Johnson (professional boxer), The Misfires (upcoming indie group), Jay Connor (actor), Gavin Lee Lewis (actor), Sam Chaloner (Big Brother 2017 contestant), Tom Barber (Big Brother 2017 contestant), Peter Jeffries (ex-Hartlepool keeper) and Paddy Henderson (Team GB, BBC journalist and Save the Children UK ambassador).

Glamour model Grace Teal is opening the event by stating the reasons for the match, announcing the funding amount raised, and introducing the teams onto the field.

She will then be closing the game by awarding the teams with trophies.

Only 500 tickets (£10 adults, £5 children) remain. Follow @cowbitvsthestar on Twitter for more details.
