Shippin sails in for victory

Milton Keynes visitor William Shippin emerged triumphant at Saturday’s Snowden Field Parkrun in Crowland. The Redway Runner completed the 5K course in 19 mins 43 secs.

Richard Williams was the highest-placed Halmer Harrier, finishing fourth in 23:25, with clubmate Simon Eldridge 21st, 26:42. Deb Norman ran a personal best time of 33:04 to finish 30th in the Spalding-based club’s colours.
Janet Strickland ran the Ferry Meadows Parkrun in Peterborough in 30:27.
In Norfolk, Adam Caress finished third at the Dereham Parkrun in a personal best time of 19:44, with colleagues Jayne Pell, 37:36, and Kathryn Chapman, 37:44, in 221st and 222nd places respectively. Just up the road, Kate Boulton finished 276th of 414 runners at the Sandringham Parkrun in 33:46.
Further afield, Katherine Baxter clocked 42:48 in Easingwold, near York, at the Millfield Parkrun, while Emily Brown completed the Clitheroe Castle Parkrun on the other side of the Pennines in 52:50.
