Shed the loneliness in Spalding

A scheme to bring men together in Spalding for conversation and activities could be set to launch.

The Men’s Sheds initiative to promote involvement has been a success in many parts of the country, including in Long Sutton.

Now health and well being charity Tonic Health is looking to launch it in Spalding.

The charity is organising a meeting at its Broadgate House base to discus setting up the new branch at 10.30am on Wednesday, March 7.

Tonic Health is looking to take on allotment spaces where men can get together and work on the land, building friendships and skills.

Though the charity is launching the Men’s Shed in the town, it’s hoped that the group’s members themselves will dictate the running and direction of the group once it’s established.

To attend, please contact Tonic Health before the meeting on 01775 725059 or email [email protected]
