Shed press on with benches

Long Sutton’s Men’s Shed members have been busy again creating benches for care homes thanks to Tesco.

The superstore’s Holbeach branch was the latest to commission work, this time it being donated to The Bancroft Care Home in Long Sutton.

A spokesman for the Men’s Shed said: “Chris Harvey, the shed’s master carpenter, and with the assistance other shed members, has produced a really stunning hard wood bench.

“Debbie, the owner of The Bancroft, was most grateful to the Men’s Shed and Tesco and added that the residents will have many hours of pleasure in their nice garden in the better weather.”

The Long Sutton Men’s Shed is located at Silverwood, St James Road, Long Sutton and open 9am-1pm, Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
