Sharp blunts opposition at Spalding Young Farmers event

John Sharp was on point to land first place in the competitive class of Spalding Young Farmer’s annual tractor working day.

As ever, Sunday’s event proved a huge success with 32 tractors in attendance at Red Cow Drove in Fosdyke.
Nine people took part in the competitive class with Sharp taking the victory from second placed Russell Nicol and Michael Smith in third.

Spalding YFC’s secretary Chrissy Tyrrell, said: “We would like to thank everyone who helped make the day a great success from all who donated raffle prizes and to the local tractor and machinery dealerships for bringing machines along on the day, along with all the entrants and members of the public who came to support.

“Special thank you goes to The Doubleday Group, A Woods Agricultural Engineers, G and J Peck, Garford Farm Machinery, The Burdens Group, Hargrave Agriculture LTD, Grimme UK, A Downing Agricultural Engineers and P J Duffy Farms for the use of the field.

“Spalding YFC look forward to seeing you all again for next year’s event on Sunday October 6, 2019.”
