Sexual assault in Spalding

Lincolnshire Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was sexually assaulted in the Swan Street area in the early hours of New Year’s Day.

The assault was reported to have been at around 5am on January 1.

A police spokesman said: “The unknown man who we believe sexually assaulted the woman may have been in the area prior to the assault.

“We would like to hear from anyone who was in Swan Street or Winfrey Avenue area at around the time of the assault and may have seen or heard anything.

“We would also like to hear from anyone who may have any dashcam footage of this area at around this time.”
