The A17 swing bridge at Sutton Bridge is closed in both directions following a collision.
Traffic is currently backed up in both directions along the A17 following the collision which was reported to Lincolnshire Police just before 10.15am.
Police say they believe the incident involves two lorries and four vans.
Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue sent three fire crews to the incident, using cutting equipment to release one person from a vehicle.
A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police said: “We received a call at 10.13am today, reporting an RTC involving several vehicles on the A17, near the border with Norfolk.
“There are currently delays in the area and motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible.”
