Set sail for river festival

The first ever Spalding Celebrate The River takes to the River Welland on Sunday (June 8).
From 1pm a group will sail down the river from the Welland Sailing Club to The Moorings Pub.
There will be a barbecue waiting along drinks.
The Spalding Water Taxi will be having two boats on, as it’s doing every Sunday currently due to the high demand.
And there will also be a host of events being held at the sailing club itself, and it is doubling as an open day.
It will be open 12pm to 4pm and anyone can go along and try their hand at sailing under the watchful eye of RYA qualified instructors and experienced helms.
There will be boats available for those who turn up without a booking but people may have to wait.
All you need to take along is a change of clothes and footwear with the club providing lifejackets.
