‘Very serious’ foot injury for driver (85) in collision at Spalding fuel station

Police are investigating an incident at Sainsbury’s fuel station in Spalding which left an elderly man with a “very serious” foot injury.

A Mercedes car which he was driving collided with a Saab just before 4pm on Sunday.

Police said: “The driver of the Mercedes, an 85-year-old man from Cowbit, was taken to hospital in Peterborough with a very serious injury to his foot. The other driver was uninjured.”
