Sensational Sutton smash home 17 goals

Sutton Bridge United smashed in a sensational 17-goal haul in last night’s Peterborough League Division One clash at home to Spalding United Reserves.

 
Matt Eaton led the scoring spree for the Division One table-toppers with a nine-goal bonanza as Bridge recorded their fourth successive victory of the new season.

 
Braces from Ben Partridge, Jake Lally and Kurt Scott also added to the tally along with solitary strikes from Sam Lilley and Joseph Sutton.

 
Buoyant Bridge are next in action on Saturday when they entertain Baston looking to continue their winning start to the campaign.

 
Spalding, newly-promoted to Division One this season, have another tough test on Saturday when they host Glinton & Northborough who are currently third in the early standings.
