Semi finalists decided

There was a break in league fixtures of the Pinchbeck and District Summer Darts League this week with the first round of the Ward Trophy for teams from Division B and C.

Kirton Leisure are through to the semi-finals with a fine 5-4 win away at Pinchbeck FC B.

With the score at 2-2 wins for Mark Ledger, Craig Spiller and Jamie Clark saw them through with two games to go. Spiller hit a 180 in his game. There was a 17-dart leg for Ledger and his partner Ashley Brown in their pairs match.

Consti Club D progress with a 6-3 home win against Lincoln Arms C. Trailing 3-2 victories for John Robinson, Harley Dawson, Nick Collins and Steve Emery gave them the win.

An easy 8-1 at home for Draymans Arms against Services Club A secured their passage to the next round.
There were 180s for Kev Newton and Richard Cooper, of Draymans. The only success for Services was Connor McKenzie winning his singles game 2-0.

Completing the line up in the last four are Consti Club B, winning 8-1 at home against Green Dragon Z.

Toby Lyons was the only winner for Dragon, beating Adam Robinson 2-1 in the singles. Dean Peacock hit a 180 for Dragon.

*Monday night was the Spalding Darts League AGM and there are 21 confirmed teams for the new season.
Secretary Sam Roberts would like to thank chairman/treasurer Ian Tilley, vice chairman John Robinson and the rest of the committee for their valued help through the season.
On the night was the Captains’ Cup and the final will be between John Charlton (Lincoln Arms B) and Hank Watson (Rose and Crown) which will be played on finals night.
Next week is the qualifying of the divisional singles which will be played down to a winner.
