School’s gesture to hospital

Holbeach Hospital residents were given a smile by members of a class at a local school.

The children in Year One and Two (Oak Class) at Weston Hills Church of England Primary School have been looking at thankfulness.

As part of their learning they had to think about how they could give gifts rather than saying thank you for gifts. The children decided they would draw pictures and make cards for residents and staff at Holbeach Hospital.

A spokesman for Holbeach and East Elloe Trust said: “The residents were delighted to receive them and they brought lots of smiles and brightened everyone’s day, so the staff and residents at Holbeach Hospital would like to say a big thank you to the children of Oak Class and Mrs Nicholls at Weston Hills school who organised it.”
