After a successful start to the season at Donington Park securing two podiums with third and first, Holbeach Clough racer Ryan Sayer headed to Croft for rounds three and four of the Production GTi Championship.
After a half decent qualifying session in his VW Golf he started fifth for race one on the Saturday (May 20).
With part-worn tyres and the baking hot sun he knew he had to manage his tyres as best as possible for the duration of the 15-minute race.
After an average start he made up a position in the “Esses” at over 100mph finding himself in fourth but battling hard for a podium finish.
Unfortunately after 15 minutes and every attempt possible Sayer settled for fourth and some good points for the championship.
Race two on the Sunday (May 21) saw even more action as he got another good start and held out position off the line.
Sayer slowly managed to work his way up the field as he found himself being one of the fastest cars on track.
With cars battling up front he managed to catch the leaders and gain first place for the last part of the race, taking his second win of the season.
Sayer said: “A massive thank you to our sponsors that make all of this possible!
