Saturday football: Hat-trick hero Leckie fires Holbeach United to a super seventh win on the bounce

Holbeach United made it seven wins on the bounce on Saturday as they breezed past Kirby Muxloe 4-0 in the ChromaSport UCL Premier Division.

A hat-trick from striker Lewis Leckie (7, 83 & 86) inspired the Carter’s Park success, with Mitch Griffiths (60) the other scorer.

The big win moves Seb Hayes’ side up to seventh place in the ChromaSport UCL Premier Division ahead of Wednesday night’s home date with Boston Town (7.45pm).

Down in the ChromaSport PDFL, both Holbeach United Reserves and Sutton Bridge United suffered Premier Division defeats.

The Tigers went down 6-2 at Thorney and are now 12th in the table, while Bridge were beaten 2-1 at Sawtry and fall to seventh.

In Division One, Moulton Harrox Reserves are second after beating Stamford Belvedere 2-1 at Broad Lane, while both Crowland Town and Tydd St Mary exited the Lincs Junior Cup.

Tydd were beaten 2-1 at home by Crowle Town Colts, while Crowland were thumped 5-0 at Wyberton.
