Santa will return to the streets of Holbeach in 2019 after being unable to do his normal rounds there this year.
For a number of years, his little helpers at the Rotary Club of Holbeach have taken Father Christmas around the town and surrounding villages.
However the club closed its doors earlier this year.
Through the Rotary Club of Spalding and the Welland, Santa’s helpers had still intended to complete their usual rounds this month, however a plea early this year to re-home the sleigh they use went unanswered.
As a result, it had been left outside since last Christmas and the Rotary volunteers who organise and carry out the operation were worried about the safety of the vehicle.
A new home for the sleigh has now been found thanks to Robert Oldershaw, of Moulton, who has been able to provide space for storage.
The Rotary club is now looking to get the sleigh roadworthy and again welcome Santa back to the streets of Holbeach next year.
A Santa helper and member of the Rotary Club of Spalding and the Welland, said: “Unfortunately we have been unable to do any runs at all this year, this was due to various sleigh related problems, including a permanent home where it could be kept dry for the 50 weeks we don’t use it.
“This meant that we weren’t confident that the sleigh was in the best condition, and couldn’t risk any safety issues, so regretfully we decided that we couldn’t do this year’s runs.
“However we found a home for the sleigh two weeks ago, and have now had it “MOT’d”, but this was much too late to arrange the runs, so we contacted our walking groups and explained our situation.
“Our new club Spalding and Welland are very keen to continue with these runs, so the good news is we will be back next year, and have a next Christmas planning meeting in January to set the process in motion.
“It takes five months of planning to get everything organised, so we need to get a team of volunteers into place early.”
