It’s here – the time for Santa to tour the streets on board Spalding Round Table’s fundraising sleigh.
From Thursday, November 28 right through December, Santa will be accompanied by volunteers from Round Table, Spalding 41 Club and Spalding Ladies’ Circle.
Also with them will be people from community groups, knocking on doors and ringing doorbells inviting residents to make donations to their good causes.
The sleigh will also be taking donations of unwrapped new and nearly presents as part of the Give A Gift campaign to support less fortunate children, aged between three and 14, this Christmas.
The Spalding Round Table family has taken up the reins of the much-loved sleigh this year from Spalding Rotary Club.
Matt Clark, vice-chairman of Spalding Round Table, said: “We’re very excited and proud to be working alongside Santa and organising this hugely important and well-established event. For many people, seeing the sleigh in their street is one of the highlights of the Christmas period.”
He added: “All donations will be split between the community groups working alongside us on the sleigh run and projects supported by our charitable organisation.
”We’re very grateful for your support and look forward to seeing everybody on our way round the streets.”
The sleigh run will be between 5.30pm and 8.30pm. Keep an eye on Facebook page Christmas by Spalding Round Table for up to date information of the sleigh’s location.
